| Guidlines for Regional Affiliate Renewal Fellowships
Establish a steering committee consisting of: Meet regularly at scheduled times. Submit copies of minutes, publicity and newsletters to ARM office and to chair of the Task Force on Regional Fellowships. Establish smaller groups for prayer, support and fellowship on a geographical basis. Develop and maintain a mailing list which includes the Annual Conference leadership (at least the Bishop and District Superintendents) and each of the heads of other regional fellowships across the country - to be updated and shared annually with the national office. Be open to and supportive of The United Methodist Church and its leadership within the Annual Conference/Seminary of the local affiliate group. Encourage the distribution of the "Guidelines: The United Methodist Church and the Charismatic Movement, 1976." Publicize ARM events through Annual Conference/Seminary channels. Encourage the spawning of new renewal groups in other Annual Conferences. Conduct at least one annual event/conference/retreat gathering. Take up an offering for UMRSF at the annual gathering. Each RARF is expected to contribute a MINIMUM of a tithe of its total annual income after expenses to ARM to support the work of renewal nationally. Provide for Coordinator (or Representative) to attend the annual ARM Board and Council Meeting. Participate actively in the local committee support of ARM sponsored regional or national conferences held in the vicinity of the affiliate group (e.g. Aldersgate). |
